Our primary defense relies on spreading investments widely to reduce the impact of any single adverse event-following the idea that avoiding problems is preferable to fixing them later. We also apply select modern tools, such as covered call writing on holdings, to generate additional income or provide a buffer during downturns. In certain cases, we may establish short positions in targeted assets when it aligns with the overall strategy.

Importantly, we do not use options or derivatives for speculation. Covered calls are employed only when they support the long-term objectives of the portfolio, and any short exposure is carefully managed within our defined guidelines.
